6 months... Wow, Where Has Time Gone?

It has been quite a while since either Brian or I updated our blog so I thought now would be a good time for an update since Isaac turned 6 months old yesterday!  So many wonderful things have happened since we brought Isaac home almost 5 months ago now. For one, he is now officially our son and we have his birth certificate and social security card to prove it. The final court date was on June 26. Brian's mom and sister were able to come in town and go with us for the ruling. Here is a picture of the finalization: 

It was an amazing feeling knowing that he is officially our son. And he slept through the whole thing!

Something else I wanted to share is Isaac's baptism. That happened on April 14th, just a few weeks after he came home with us.  He slept through that too!  We got Isaac baptized at our church as an outward symbol of God's grace in Isaac's life. It was an opportunity for ourselves, our family, and our church family to give our support to Isaac and raise him according to the will of God. Here's a picture of that special day:

Isaac is growing like crazy now. As of today, his six month appointment, he is 26 1/4 inches long and 18 pounds 8 ounces. He is a wonderful baby who loves to play and laugh. He loves playing with daddy and is very ticklish. He has also discovered our cat, Shadow, and loves chasing him around the house in his walker. 

We are so blessed to have Isaac in our lives. He is a joy to be around and I thank God that he gave us our precious son. 

What a cutie!!!

He just keeps growing!
