Isaac is Coming Home!

Well, we have some good news to share with everyone....Isaac will be coming home on Friday!  Brian and I are so excited we can barely contain ourselves!!  On Saturday we had a meeting with the head of the Children's Home Society to talk about an at-risk placement.  They went over with us what it means and the implications of an at-risk placement.  We decided that the risk was worth it to bring our baby home earlier.  The court date is still set for April 1st so we are praying that the judge will rule abandonment.   If not, the judge will ask for the diligent search to be printed in the newspaper for 4 weeks and then another court date will be set.  Either way it is good for us because we will already have Isaac.  

This whole journey has been so amazing.  We have had such a wonderful experience and were blessed with a good foster home for Isaac. The family that has been taking care of him are wonderful people.  The journey isn't ending yet but we know that God is with us and has everything under control.  

So, Friday is the big day.  We have been working hard to get our house prepared to take care of the baby.  We love the "You Are My Sunshine Theme" because Isaac truly is a ray of sunshine in our lives.  He is a joy and we look forward to him finally coming home.

Brian and I have also been busy getting everything taken care of at work so we can be home with Isaac for a little while.  The timing is perfect because I have spring break next week.  I will also be taking off the next couple of weeks.  Brian is even going to have a couple weeks off with us too.  Everything is coming together in God's perfect timing.  

We know that the first couple weeks are going to be an adjustment for both ourselves and for Isaac.  This will be a big transition for him.  After talking to our social worker we know that for the first couple of weeks we are going to need time to bond with Isaac.  He needs to know that we are his parents and we don't want to confuse him too much by going out and introducing him to a lot of people.  For a little while we are going to be laying pretty low and giving him time to adjust to our family and his new home.  The date set for his baptism is April 14th.  At that time we will be taking him to church and introducing him to just some of the people who helped us bring him home with their prayers and support.  We are so thankful for the many people who have been a part of this process.  Sometimes the joy and love I feel from God, family, and friends is overwhelming.
