Our Second Visit with Isaac

Today we got to go see Isaac for the second time.  Even in just one week he has grown!  He is just so amazing!!  Two of our good friends got to go with us today to see Isaac; it was such a great experience to have them go with us to visit him.  We have asked them to be his God-mothers and were so happy when we found out they would be able to go.

We began our trek early this morning to go see him.  We met the social worker and the foster mother at the Children's Home Society.  We got to spend some time getting to hold Isaac and love on him.  I got to feed him a bottle and Brian got the opportunity to change his first diaper!  We even got it on video!  We passed Isaac around and oohed and aahed at how cute he is.  He is such a content baby and just looked around at everyone.  He has a head full of blond hair and blue eyes.  His eyes may change color still and have actually lightened up a good bit since we saw him last week.  We also got some amazing pictures that we will share on here once the adoption is finalized and we get to bring him home with us.  

After a while we had to make another trek to the hospital...it was time to get a certain procedure done that some families choose for their baby boys.  We were told that Isaac couldn't have any food an hour before his procedure but we thought we would have some time when we got to the hospital.  When we got there they took us right back so we didn't get time to feed him.  First they had to put some numbing cream on him and then we had to wait an hour before the procedure was done.  After waiting a few minutes Isaac made it very clear to us that he was very hungry!  He was so unhappy but we couldn't do anything about it; I felt so helpless.  Thankfully one of our friends is "the baby whisperer" because she was awesome and stood and bounced him for 45 minutes straight so he would sleep and not cry.  Every time she stopped he would start crying again so she got her workout for the day.  Finally it was time for him to go back for the procedure.  We could hear him yell from the waiting room and it broke my heart that he was in pain.  Thankfully it didn't last very long and we were able to feed him and hold him.  He was so content again once it was over and he had some food in his tummy.  He is such a good baby.  

When we got to leave we went with the foster mother and her daughter to eat lunch.  Our foster mother is amazing.  We are so glad that she is the one taking care of Isaac for the first few weeks of his life.  She is just so calming and sweet and is an amazing person.  It is just so wonderful seeing how God is working all of this out.  Everyone we have come in contact through this process has been great.  God is just so good!  It was hard leaving Isaac today but we know he is in great hands.
