Isaac's almost here!

Well, friends...He's almost here!  This morning our Birth Mother and her social worker went to the hospital to induce labor.  So, of course, my mind was not at work AT ALL.  In order to deal with the wave of emotions, we did what we thought was best.  We left work to go await Isaac's arrival.

We had no clue on when they would actually induce labor, but we knew that we could not sit around and wait 2 hours away.  Therefore, we decided to drive around and visit a couple of shops and a certain coffee establishment (can't help it) in order to pass the time.

After several hours of no word, we began to think that we had made the wrong decision about coming here. Just as we were thinking of heading home wouldn't you know it, we got a call from our social worker.  She was so polite about our attempt to deal with our anxiety as she let us know that our baby would probably be born in the middle of the night and that they would call us to come see him in the morning.

And now, we sit at a hotel just a mile or so from where our son will be brought into this world.  It is an exciting thing to know that soon and very soon we will be parents.  I can't get over how ready we are to hold our son and meet his birth mother.  It's very exciting.  Oh, and did I mention how excited we are?

Here's how we shall pass the time...

Hey friends, our travels don't end with Isaac's birth.  It is only a beautiful chapter.  Thank you for joining our journey.  We can't wait to introduce Isaac to you!

Grace and Peace,
Brian
