James 1:27 and a Puzzle Update

James 1:27

New International Version (NIV)
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

This verse has meant so much to Cassidy and me as we continue the adoption process.  Several months ago, I invited a friend of mine to teach at our Wednesday night youth gathering and it just so happened that he used this verse at a time when it connected directly with what God was doing in our hearts at the time.  He had no idea what God was saying to us through his teaching, but the words "to look after orphans and widows in their distress" planted a seed that we can see blossoming into a love for a child (and mother) we have yet to meet.

What I love about this whole puzzle adventure is that you have cared enough to read and pray and even give to helping take care of an "orphan....in their distress".  Together we are practicing "religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless".  How incredible is that?!?!

So, now for a puzzle update...

The puzzle is really taking shape now!

There's really nothing new to share as far as the adoption process goes.  We are at the beginning of the "waiting" stage.  Who knows when "the call" will come.  Until then, we'll continue to do our best to be faithful to the steps God calls us to take.
