Home Study....Check!
Cassidy and I had a great time today with our social worker. She's outstanding and has been so helpful in getting us to think about what it will be like when a little one is placed in our care (I have to say this now, because she actually may read it...haha).
All kidding aside, we feel that God has placed her in our lives to be a guiding light in this whole process. If you or someone you know is about to do a home study, I sure hope you can get someone like our social worker that will resource and equip you to care for a baby.
People have had many reservations about the home study, but as one commentator a couple of blogs back put it, "a social worker's goal is to create families." This was a great encouragement to us as we started the whole process.
So, thank you to our new friend at the Florida Children's Home Society.
