Home Study!

Yesterday we had the first part if our home study. This was the part of the home study that was actually at our home. I think Brian may have mentioned this in our last post but we have amazing family and friends. My parents along with several of our friends from church came to our house Saturday morning to help us clean. We cleaned, moved furniture, ate pizza, and had fun!

Our social worker was scheduled to be at our house yesterday at 2:30 and she was right on time. We took her for a tour of the house and she said everything looked great. She also met our cat, Shadow. Then we sat down at the dining room table and she started asking us questions. And it was a lot of questions. We basically had to tell her our life histories. The questionnaire is about 4 pages long and we got through a little over one page. We will a schedule another time to meet at her office for more of the interview. It was good though. I'm glad these questions are being asked because it helps her get to know us more so matching can be easier. It is still so much to process and think about though. Brian is going to call today and set up our next meeting! I'm so grateful we have got the home study started now. It's not over yet but at least we are going forward.

Thanks again for all your prayers and support. We couldn't do this without the help of so many wonderful people.

As Brian says...

Grace and peace,
Cassidy

Here is the room that will be our family room.  It's nice and clean right now!
